Language School GSE

Global School of English Edinburgh was established in 2010 and is the sister school of Glasgow School of English (founded 1997). The school is located in the heart of Edinburgh city centre and has excellent transport links, with only a 10 minute walk from Edinburgh's main train station and two minutes walk from the bus station. As the school is situated on the second floor of a townhouse building, which does not have a lift, it may make it unsuitable for students with physical disabilities. If this is relevant to you we suggest their sister school in Glasgow which has full disabled access.

City Info

Edinburgh is visitor friendly city, and although it has a lively big city feel it is also small enough to explore on foot. The centre of Edinburgh can be divided into two parts the Old Town and the New Town. The Old Town is the medieval part of the city which comprises of the impressive Royal Mile and the New Town is home to Princes Street the main commercial street in the city. Edinburgh was named as the world’s first UNESCO City of Literature, and if your lucky you may bump into a few of its famous resident authors such as JK Rowling or Ian Rakin.
