Bournemouth

 

Bournemouth is a renowned university town on England’s south coast and also one of the top UK holidays destinations. During the year you can find many interesting things happening here including powerboat races, vintage car rallies, tennis matches and windsurfing competitions. In the summer there are weekly firework displays from the pier, musical events and a unique Flowers by Candlelight event where 15,000 candles are lit in Central Gardens.

Brighton

 

Brighton is one of the most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities in England.  With a population of a quarter of a million it  receives many additional visitors each year and is the ideal location to combine language learning and fun.

Located on the south-coast with a beautiful pebble beach and surroundings you are less than an hour from London by train.  The city has two universities and there are plenty of attractions such as The Royal Pavillion, Brighton Pier, The Lanes and a wide range of cultural activities including museums, theatres, cinemas and concerts to entertain you.

Cambridge

 

Cambridge is a prestigious University town that comes alive during the summer months, attracting students and tourists alike. This beautiful English town is a classic english learning centre and the surrounding areas are filled
with nature.
The city has a wide range of activities and entertainment on offer. Sip on an ale in an old english pub, take a stroll around the streets, visit many of the old college buildings, listen to a choir sing or visit old book shops and art galleries.

Edinburgh

 

Edinburgh has a population of around half a million people. The city hosts many major events including the Fringe Festival which is normally held in August and attracts more than 3000 international performers. The city´s Hogmanay (New Years Eve celebrations) are some of the biggest in the world which end with a spectacular fireworks display.
The city attracts an enormous number of students from all over the world and the university is one of the oldest in the world dating back to 1582, Charles Darwin studied here in 1825. The city offers a vibrant and lively experience which will long live in your memory.

Edinburgh

 

Edinburgh is visitor friendly city and although it has a big city feel and lively atmosphere, it is also small enough to explore by foot. The centre of Edinburgh can be divided into two parts the Old Town and the New Town. The Old Town is the medieval part of the city which comprises of the Royal Mile. Edinburgh was named as the world’s first UNESCO City of Literature and a few famous authors such as JK Rowling and Ian Rakin are residents.

Glasgow

 

Glasgow, Scotland's largest city, has amazing natural attractions ranging from spectacular mountain scenery to golden beaches and sparkling fresh water lochs.  It is a great base from which to see many other parts of the country due to its excellent transport links and leaves you with no excuses for not getting out there and enjoying the great outdoors.
Some of the regions highlights include Loch Lomond National Park, New Lanark World Heritage Site, Burns National Heritage Park and of course the West Coast Islands including Arran, Mull, Iona, Bute, Islay, Jura.  Other "can´t miss" excursions include going to see Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument plus if you’re a golf fan St Andrews, the home of golf.

London a sprawling metropolis of multiculturalism that affects every aspect of London life.  Millions of visitors each year flock to London to see the must see sights of Buckingham Palace, St Paul's Cathedral, Trafalgar square, Big Ben and other glorious monuments.

For such a big city, London has many large, open green spaces. Visit inner city parks such as Hyde Park or Regents Park or explore Kew Gardens, three hundred acres of beautiful botanic gardens alongside the river Thames.

Portsmouth

 

Portsmouth, on the south coast of England, is sheltered from the wind and tends to have a milder climate than other parts of England. This thriving seaside holiday resort is a fascinating centre of maritime history where you can visit historic ships like the HMS Victory, castles, forts and museums on the topic.
