Language School F+U

The F+U Academy of Language is one of the largest language schools in Germany. Each year approximately 5,000 students from around 100 countries come and participate in our language courses in Heidelberg.

The school building offers fantastic views over the Old Town, castle and into the Neckar valley. F+U is one of the world leaders in the provision of German courses, whether in the form of intensive lessons or complementary courses.

Who is this course for?	Students who are beginners or near beginners in German, or who want to learn German and have more free time in Heidelberg at the same time.
Syllabus	On this programme, you will learn all aspects of general German, which include grammar, listening, reading, speaking and writing. The classes will start in the morning and end at noon. After the classes, you can check emails at the school’s internet room, do your homework, join one of the schools’ activities, or just explore Heidelberg on your own.

Who is this course for?	Students who already have learnt German previously, and want to improve their conversation skills in German or learn Business German, or even prepare for German examinations.
Syllabus	In the morning, you will join a German Intensive Course, which covers all aspects of General German, such as grammar, listening, reading, speaking and writing. In the afternoon, you can choose one of the Modular Course depending on your needs. You can choose either conversation training, language training for business, or exam preparation.

Who is this course for?	Students who want to learn German in a short period of time.
Syllabus	On this programme, you will join in a small group with a maximum of 5 students per class. The class will cover all aspects of General German, but since it’s a mini group class, you will have more time to practice German in a classroom, and receive more attention and correction from your teacher. In addition to the morning class, you can also choose to take additional afternoon class, which will focus more on your German conversation skills.

City Info

Heidelberg is the oldest university town in Germany and also attracts students from all over the world. The beautiful river location; on the Neckar, the small old-town alleys, the numerous cozy student pubs, make it a very special place to learn German. This city has been the home to many famous German writers and philosophers over the past centuries. During the summer months the river banks are a meeting place to enjoy the sunny atmosphere.
